Chevy 454 FI propane add on system
 

I have a 1995 454 CI Fuel Injected engine in my motorhome. I am looking for a propane add-on system so I can have the option of running gas or propane. I had one in a 454 carbed engine that worked great. Anyone know of a kit or parts I would need. I would like to do the work myself. All help and information very well appreciated

Welcome to Hotrodders.com Glad to have you with us.

In order to use the propane, it would be easier & cheaper to change the TPI to a carburetor & use it that way. To use it with the TPI you would have to alter the computer to turn the fuel pump off & reset the timing. Also you'd either have to have the propane at a high pressure, or cold enough to keep it liquid, as the injectors can't meter vapor.

Thanks Rich I will keep that in mind. If I go to carb I would still have to disconnect fuel pump or change computer correct. Regular or electric low pressure fuel pump would be needed for the carb to run properly. If I did go to a carb what would the set=up be for the propane parts
