Post Chevy 454 marine for the road

Hi, I'm looking for a 454 big block for a project in the UK. They're pretty rare here but I've tracked one down. The only thing is... it's a marine engine straight out of a boat.

This is what I know...

The engine block number is 3999289 it is 72-75 but was remanufactured by chevy in 87. The head numbers are 336781 oval port.

It has:

Short water pump
Steel inlet manifold
Rochester 4 barrel
No alternator bracket (or not standard)
No vaccuum advance

It hasn't been exposed to sea water internally or externally and has less than 300 hours on it.

Is there anything about a marine version that will stop me using it for the road?

Thanks,

Si.

The marine engine is virtually the same as the car/truck engine except for a few minor details. It may have a specific cam, depending on which marine manufacturer it came from (Mercury/Mercuuiser, etc.), possibly a different ignition advance curve, and maybe a different intake manifold setup. To sum it all up, the marine long block is same as car/truck item.
