Chevy BB Gen V: 502 crank in 454??? Can I do it?

Hello, I have a '91 Gen V 454 and the opportunity to pick up a forged Gen VI 502 crank. Will it fit into my Gen V motor? Any issues to worry about?

Thanks.

Yes 502 and 454 crank are essentially the same. 4.00" stroke. One piece rear seal.

Will the 502 crank need a 502 flexplate? Will the crank actually fit in my 454?

Read above post. CRANKS ARE THE SAME!! flex plates are the same. The engine size difference is 454 bore is 4.250" and 502 is roughly 4.500"
