Chevy Crank Trigger Conversion
Ok fellas and gals if applicable. I am at the end of a sbc build and decided to try and run a stock fuel injection system. The piece that I am missing to the hole puzzle (minus hours of wire tracing) is the crank trigger/ position sensor. Here are the details.

The vehicle I am building is a 1993 sbc 5.7 liter throttle body set up with 4L60e. This engine is no more and Im removing the TBI set up. (dont want carb)

I built a 5.7 roller motor out of a 1995 vortech setup with aftermarket 190/62 cc heads and bored over .6. Stroke is stock and cam is a computer controlled safe cam.

I robbed a fuel injection system off of a 1998 K1500 suburban. It is the "spider" injection system. I am good with the electrical conversion?? I can not find an ugrade or after market crank trigger I can use to replace the stock trigger that normally comes with it.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

i think electromotive has all you would need:

Products - Electromotive Engine Controls

Theres a very good chance that the aftermarket would repackage a stock trigger and sell it back to you. GM's electronic stuff it pretty good.

The system you took off is a good choice to tune for new engine. Can also be adapted for MPFI. Cost of tuning equiptment needed about $150. plus your time

The Vortec Spider is OK but not great and any 1996 and newer OBDII is much more expensive for software to tune with. Your actually going backwards. Can get a Vortec timing cover for sensor although I'm not sure the crank will accept the toothed wheel needed.

Common conversion for all 97 to 00 Vortec engine controllers is 0411 PCM from a LSx engine, this is way to go. But still $900 for EFI Live...
