Google it there's tons of info out there. I'm tail deep in 'gators and just don't have time right now, but I'm not trying to blow you off, it's that this is a super common swap. The process is pretty much the same for the years 1949 thru 1954. 1955 moves to an open drive shaft which is conversion you'll need to do, but it isn't difficult. The biggest PIA is converting from 6 to 12 volts. You'll have to decide whether to replace everything electrical including the fuel sender and gauge or work out a split voltage system with some of the original stuff retained at 6 volts and the rest at 12VDC.
