Post chevy head gasket

hi guys,
taking off my heads and doing some work next weekend, I have 882 heads and I've bought a felpro 0.39" (9.0cc) head gasket, which is sliglty less than the stock one (which I think is 11cc), but I've noticed that Fel-Pro do a 0.15" (3.2cc) head gasket as well;

any cons to running a really thin head gasket?

the smaller gasket will push me just over 9:1 compression and get me an extra 20lb/ft of torque so I am really tempted, just not sure if it'll cause me problems (seems too good to be true so there must be a problem waiting to bite me on the arse there somewhere!).

if you mean piston deck height then not entirely sure, I can check next weekend when I take the heads off but I think it's 0.040" below assuming I've got flat top pistons and not dished

I'm guessing that as long as I check the clearence and the pistons aren't going to hit the valves then I won't have a problem on that score, but is there anything else I should be aware of?
