If you are thinking a Willys gasser, those axles are too big all round. Too thick, too long, too everything. Go for a stock Willys suspension or Speedway tubular axle setup instead.

I justed checked a Chevy truck straight axle and springs from my scrap pile. The kingpin eye-to-eye dimension is 54 inches. The spring perches are 34 inches on center. The spring eyes are 43 inches on center.

I hope this helps.
