i just tore apart my small block chevy (350). i was trying to identify some of the castin mumbers just so I know what I have. I am going to buy all new pistons and connecting rods, but i would like to know what these pistons were.

The casting number says 6271096, it also says massena on them. Now i am thinking of going with kieth black pistons. If anybody knows what that number is or they have a better sugestion on new pistons please give me some knoledge.

thanks for the knoledge. Now i am thinking of going with eagle rods that are rated up to 500 horse, and kieth black pistons. along with this I want to go with the edelbrock perfromer RPM package. you know the heads the cam, intake and so on. Does this sound like a good combo, or does somebody have a better combo for me that might even be cheaper?
