Thanks!
Thanks for all the input. It's been very helpful. In my additional research, I found that the 3890462 heads I was looking at have 64cc chambers – so I bought them. Now on to cam selection!

And what if you run 283 heads on 350 block?
Hi there,
I am building a 350 engine for my Chevy II project car. Since I live in Argentina parts avalability is almost zero so I am gathering parts from here and there. this is what I got: Block Casting # 3970010 bored 0.030 over flat top hypereutectic pistons I have a set of heads: Casting # 3748772 From the Mortec page I learned there are 58-62 283 heads with a 64 CC. Does ayone know if this combination will work or are the CC too small? Is the CR going to be too high for pump gas? Will it make some power? and last, What kind of cam would you use with this combo?? Any help will be greatly appreciated. |
