chevy starter, quick q-

Hey folks, quick one here-

I took off my old starter and ordered a new, mini starter (nice unit actually). There are three electrical terminals on it, one ground (they grounded it to itself). One small knife terminal (which used to be a little round one on my old starter, I'm assuming this is the "switch" that allows the battery voltage to come through). And there's the top, fat terminal which the battery hooks up to. Only thing is, I seem to remember taking two wires off this first, big positive terminal on the old starter.

A) do I hook the new one up the same way even if it says it only needs the switch and the positive?

B) What is that other wire that bolts on teh positive?

Thanks!

Yes to question 'A'.

As for question 'B', more than likely, this is the power source to your ignition switch.
