chevy truck spring change

My '77 is in need of a full front bushing change and maybe ball joints and tie rods too. I noticed it's leaning to the right 1 inch sitting empty. (measured it).

I'm wondering just how much higher it would set if I installed new big block springs instead of the 350 springs it now has. Anyone know how much it will raise the front end? Or know the weight difference between a SBC and BBC?

Thanks.

Mark

Maybe an inch higher, assuming no sag in springs. So probabally 2-3 inches.

Thanks Shane. I"ve seen some 1/2 ton trucks really jacked up in the front. Don't want that! If I can find the weight difference between a SBC and BBC, I can put a scale on the drive way and then put a jack on it and jack it to that weight and then measure the difference.
