Personally that is an example of just how much money someone can pee away, it fascinates me personally.

Oh yeah it was China's fault you are laughable. They did not know about that before they asked for our tax money, you really need to quit drinking. Why do you think they asked for the money? They were a looser before they came to the tax payer bank, after the visit they became crooks with the governments blessing, read that as Obmammy.

You make all this NOISE about how great the electric cars are. Then in typical liberal fashion you tell others what's best for them, all the while driving and enjoying your hotrod. I say dump that piece of gas guzzling crap and let's see you start driving one of those great electric cars .

You love them so much I say buy one and then come run your mouth, of course I will not be able to hear you cause of my big dinosaur eating, screwing up your breathable air V8, makes to much noise.

Looking forward to your pictures. Deckofficer the proud owner of his electric standing on the side of the road, with a dead battery and a 20 foot extension cord.

Say buddy can I borrow an outlet? That is just to funny I crack myself up sometimes, rolling on the floor.

..... now something more to upset the "greenie weenies".

"GM temporarily halts production of Volt
By Keith Laing - 03/02/12 03:39 PM ET

General Motors has temporarily suspended production of its Volt electric car, the company announced Friday.

GM, which is based in Detroit, announced to employees at one of its facilities that it was halting production of the beleaguered electric car for five weeks and temporarily laying off 1,300 employees."

Why the "greenie weeines" comment? This is horrible news on many levels, first off being an American (how "American" I have discussed pointing out there parts coming from China, but that's another thread) being kicked in the pants from lack of sales. While Toyota sells kazillians of Prius the volt being a MUCH more practical design hasn't caught on moving us towards saving fuel in America.

You know the funny thing is a lot of hot rodders get all riled up thinking that America is going to make fuel illegal or something turning their hotrods into 3000lb paper weights. It isn't going to happen, not in any of our or our children's or grand children's life times. No, for me, every gallon I save on my daily commute or others commutes I see a gallon I will have for my Gran Sport or next hot rod.

You absolutely missed my point!!!

I'm not going to go into a long dissertation to prove my 'greenie weenie' statement either - except to say that this car is NOT what America or the world needs to reduce our dependency on carbonaceous based fuels. Go way back on this thread, I'm the OP, and you will see my points

Sorry, I didn't see that you added to your post. I'll go back, I don't remember all your comments. I certainly don't agree with you on the Volt not being a good way to go, I personally think it's the PERFECT "transition" from fuel to electric.

The reason that Volt hasn't sold isn't because it isn't a good idea, it's because the public isn't ready for it. Hell, there was a time when the public wasn't ready for an aluminum engine. GM sold it to British Layland back around 1964 and this "bastard step child" of GM went on to be used by them until just a couple of years ago in 2006ish! Maybe still, but I believe it isn't used at least in the Land Rover.

The public just can't grasp the idea of the electric, we will see with the Leaf, it may be what will grab hold. People see a number, I can drive 50 miles, lets see it's 20 miles to my friends house, 20+20 is 40, 40 is less than 50 so I can go to my friends house and back and charge it tonight. Maybe the public thinks like this and the Volt doesn't compute for some reason, I don't know but it makes perfect sense to me personally.
