Exclamation Choices, Choices..... I need opinions

OK, I have this Deuce 3 window project. All new glass body, doors hung, latches installed, power windows from the factory. New frame stampings, Speedway tubular crossmember kit, complete chrome Pete & Jakes front suspension with their ladder bar transverse spring rear end including front disk brakes and a Ford 9" rear (that needs to be narrowed). This project is sitting in my garage and will be tackled next once I'm finished with the '53 Hemi powered Chevy pickup. Unless........

I have a chance to pick up a '64 Dodge 440 2 door factory big block 4 speed car from the original owner. The car needs a complete restoration but has been a southern car all its life so there is actually minimal rust. The only mods to the car since new are a switch to a 4 bbl. manifold and dual exhaust. It has 170K miles and starts and drives nice but needs brake work to be road worthy. This is the same body style the Ramcharges ran in 64 and even though its a numbers matching car (and I would never get rid of the 383 thats in it) this car would be outstanding with a crate 426 hemi under the hood.

Now the dilemma. I really can't do both projects so I have to make a choice. Stick with the Deuce (there are thousands of them out there) or go for the Dodge (which is a rare car now days). If I go for the Dodge I'd sell the deuce and my 3 spare hemis. What do you guys think?

Man i don't know if my advice is worth much but here it is. I would send the 32 down the road and go for the Dodge with a crate
426. Go to a big show and compare the amount of Dodges to the glass 32's. By the way thanks again for the idea on the 53 door
handles. I installed a set of 01 Neon or Chrysler flush handles on
my 54 and they turned out great.
Good luck on your decision

I would opt for the Dodge but then I am not a Ford hot rod fan. More value and more fun IMHO!

You mentioned you have a '53 hemi in your truck. I don't remember you ever telling us that but then I am suffering from advanced Alzheimer's. Is it the long bell-housing 331? What tranny do you run? Did you know you can make it a 354 by simply boring it 1/8" over and getting new pistons. That's how the factory did it.

UPDATE; just did a search and found that we have had this discussion before!! Every morning is a new day!!

How much did you invest in the 32?

I like 32 but not glass ones I would say go for the mopar.

How much of a loss on the coupe by selling would be my greatest concern. Finished coupes with a hemi are high dollar items. Dan

I agree. I'm trying to figure out how to do both. I've got about $10K invested in the Deuce as it sits (all new parts, been collecting them for several years) and I figure with the chassis assembled I could get probably $15K for it. Finished with the Hemi $35K maybe. Decisions, decisions.
