choke conversion help needed

Hi I'm Bill,
Just need some help on an engine swap I'm doing. I'm takeing an engine out of an 86 chevy scottsdale and trying it into my 1972 chevy g10 van. I want to use the electric choke, but don't know how to set it up. I tried looking around to find out how to do it but all I have found were the kits. Seeing as though I already have the setup kinda I didn't know if was just a couple of wires I had to hook up or a bit more than that. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know if this helps, but it is a 4 barrel carb on a 350.

Bill,

If you have a wiring schematic for the "new" truck, find a 12v source that's hot when the ignition is on. I found a source at the oil sending unit, but your wiring is probably different.

Some people cut into the key to coil circuit, but somewhere I heard it's not a good idea.

If you don't have a schematic, I'd go to the library and find a Chilton's or something similar.

The other wire on the choke housing is only a ground and is usually grounded somewhere on the carb.

Good luck.
