Chop a Top 1949 - 1951 Ford

Greetings All - First I would like to thank all of you that took the time to welcome me to this site. Gearheads are a great group!
Now to my question - I am looking for any information (print, DVD, video, personal experience, etc) on how to chop a top on a shoe box Ford. Its a business coupe & one concern is that with a chop of around 5" will the side window look to small? Part of the plan as of now is to use the comp R-window & to lay it down for a longer (sloped) roof line. Well I'd greatly appreciate any info available, even if it is totaly different from my direction (or lack of!) as of now. Thanks in advance for your help, Henry

not sure if this is the type of ford you are looking for info on chopping and if it is this site is for model cars but it might give you an idea on how to do the real thing.

If You Go On Diy On Google With 1951 Ford They Have A Site That Shows Exactly How To Do It And I Just Finished Mine. Just Have To Do Bondo And Go To The Engine Install Next, Is Yours Lowered, They Sell A Air Ride Kit For 1600 That Fits Your Car Exactly On Airridetechnology.com. I Bought It And It Works Great. Good Luck, What Type Of Engine Are You Going To Go With? Doug
