has anybody used CK performance transmissions? and what did you think? I'm thinking of getting a 4L80 trans from him.
and also, if a trans has a trans-brake, you don't have to use it do you? can you get one with a trans-brake and just not hook it up to a button or just not press the button?
Depends on how the Trans Brake is designed. Some require the button to be pushed activating the Solenoid for Reverse to work.
Several have had problems with Chris's/CK's 4L80E T-Brake Valvebody not working.
You may want to check out Jake's, He's been doing alot of 4L80E's lately with no problems. May be a little closer to you also. http://www.jakesperformance.com/

The $$ do make a difference, that's a very cheap price for the 4L80E.
I'm not sure what the specific problem was with the VB. Some kind of cross leak or something.
The thread's on TB.com
From what I hear Chris has worked through the problem.
