Clamps on hosed going into tranny fluid cooler...

My truck's been leaking transmission fluid for some time and I finally climbed under it and found that the cause was missing clamps on some of the hoses leading to the radiator.

I put some on and then started to wonder--could they have been left off for a reason? Like to relieve excess pressure or something? Seems far fetched but now it's in the back of my mind eating at me.

The truck's a '52 Chevy with an inline 6 from around 1977, 700R4 transmission, and what looks like a stock radiator, but I'm sure isn't original.

Thanks for helping me put my mind at ease

Hi
Someone just forgot to put them (clamps) on, & it probably didn't leak at the time, so it was overlooked.
