Clarification request

In the Body-Exterior section there is a sub section called Paint.

If Paint is excluded from the Body-Exterior section, what is okay to talk about in Body-Exterior? Trim and bumpers? Can a person talk about how to do bodywork if they do not mention that they intend to (paint) prime ?

I truly do not see how one can be separate from the other?

I think there's a reason for it to stay and a reason for it to go. It seems to be on the internet body men are painters and painters are body men. I often answer paint questions and even though I did nothing but paint for a few years and have paint certificates, I am a body man first and foremost. It would be nice to have painters addressing paint issues and body men addressing body issues. There's also some confusion as to what should be asked where. If you're asking about priming, as in spraying it out of the gun, it should be addressed to the painter, if you're asking about blocking that primer you should ask the body tech. Of course I can spray primer and painters can block body work but the processes overlap and both body man and painter are important to the overall quality.
