classic car inspection

Hey Guys! Did you hear that the state of PA is trying to start a classic car inspection!? They are trying to push a law that would reguire a classic car owner to have their vehicles inspected at a cost of $200.00 to $300.00, pass or fail. I am trying to get as many involved as possible to kill this BULL! I own a 1984 GMC Sierra Classic - 4x4 2500HD I am trying to find a title for it rite now tho. I did a lot of work to the motor and body so far, in the State of Wyoming. Then I moved to PA and found, I may NEVER beable to put it on the road!

Hi Cobra,
I did hear something about inspections for classics, but I thought it
was defeated? Anyway the restrictions on classic & antique tags are
ridiculous, & imho should only be used buy people who do not drive
there autos except for a short drive on Sundays, or on & off the trailer,
for vehicle identification. I believe the state set it up that way so people
would continue to use a regular tag, & the state will continue to get the fee

Take care,
rich

Hi again,
from pendot use of antique & classic plates
it is unlawful for any person to operate a motorcycle or vehicle with antique & classic plates for general daily transportation, permitted use, club actiivities,
exhibits, tours, parades, occasional transportation (defined as one day a week)
inspection,
Classic vehicles are subject to an annual vehicle safety inspection,
Antique " are not
Both are exempt from emissions
