classic cars

I read somewhere that if barak obama got in he was going to make it illegal for older cars to be on the road no matter what condition they were in
is this true ?
they tried that in british colombia canada
all the hotrodders got together and gpt a petition together challanging the new law
they took all there cars to the inspection stations and they were found in almost all cases in better condition then when they came off the assembly line
also on emmission testing a friend of mine took his 1968 chevelle ss with a 454 cu engine he had installed the water injection system on it and they compare it to a brand new chevy and they had to reset the machines three times and have it checked because the chevelle emmitted less emmisions that the new chevy
so the law was removed from the book the only thing they left in place is that the car must have the same as the original equipment it came out with if mods were done they had to get emmission testing done and inspected

Oh for Gods sake...I should think he'll have plenty of other more pressing items to worry about, i.e.; the economy, wars on two fronts with no clear end in sight, than whether or not you and I have old cars.
