Cleaning aluminum heads on a flat head V8

What should I use to clean the Aluminum heads on a Ford Flat head V8 engine. The vehicle has been in storage for 30 years and there is quite a bit of oxidation on them.

I have had lots of old ali stuff in the past and I find the best way to do it is either with a small electric buffer with a fine cutting compound or the good old fashioned way... Take a bit of gold scotchbrite ( abrasive cloth) and rub untill you have got rid of the oxidation then go over it with '000' grade wire wool... It comes up a treat but do remember to clean off all the residue cos wire wool residue will rust and will make everything took crap... so best to do it off the car. dont use gentle and it will last a lifetime.

Hope this helps
