Question Cleaning the inside glass on gauges?

I'm going to be pulling the dash on my car soon to replace it, while I'm in there I'm going to do some rewiring and cleaning. Whats the best way to clean the inside glass on a gauge? Should I repaint the needles too,? and if so what with? What's the best cleaner to use without static. Also how about waxing the glass with Rain X or something?

Regards
Mark

Cleaning gauges

Endust has a nice product out for cleaning electronics and computers (Endust for Electronics)that should work well for cleaning your glass. Use a microfiber cleaning rag if available. I painted my pointers and they turned out nice. I used Krylon orange by spraying it into the lid and an artist brush to apply it.
