Cleaning/sanding 50 ford body before priming

I have completed replacing body panels, done all body filling and am now removing the old body paint with airplane paint remover, my question is when I completely remove all paint down to bare metal can I do a final sanding with a jitterbug sander with 120 grit paper then do a complete clean job with laquer thinner then etch prime or is laquer thinner a good enough cleaner before priming or is there a better procedure . Thanks for any help

I hope you are not getting the paint remover on body filler that you plan on leaving there!

First, I would throw away that etch primer. You should apply epoxy primer to the bare metal. Follow the recommendation of the primer manuyfacturer as far as recommended prep before. Do not clean surfaces with lacquer thinner. It will leave a film and do a poor job of cleaning. There are products made for that purpose.
