cleaning a steering wheel
apparently before selling the car, the previous owner partially restored the interior. the steering wheel was nice looking for about 6 months and then the spray color started to peel off. it looks like they didn't even try to clean the wheel before spraying, as it is sticky like it has grease all over it under the spray and if i scracth the grease off, the original color is still there.
what's the best way to clean the sprayed on color and the grease off the wheel to get down to the original color so far i'm just gonna get some soap and hot water and a washcloth and start scrubbing, just wondering if there are any alternatives thanks

you can use water based paint stripper. its made by 3M. Its called safest stripper. It is very mild and does not hurt plastic. It can be found here.

It comes packaged in a plastic container, so I can't see that it would hust plastics of any kind.
