Clear coat the engine after painting it.???

So I am going to paint the engine the same body color as my car is. Now I am concerned that the paint will not hold up to the heat of the engine and will peel off. Now I found a clear coat that is good up to 1200 deg. F..
So if I paint the engine and the apply the clear coat do you think this will "seal" the paint on the engine and prevent it from peeling?..

Shoot me your opinions.. Thx. Mark

As discussed many, many times on this forum, quality automotive catalyzed urethane base coat/clear coat will stand up on an engine very very well. Will take all the heat (short of direct exhaust heat) and chemicals you can throw at it and keep going. Superior finish to any rattle can paint on the market.
