Clicking

I have a 91 chevy caprice, with a stock rearend. The car has 85,500 miles on it. The probelm is that when i am driving down the road i hear a clicking noise that speeds up as i press on the gas pedal, and this is on the right side, back tire. But if i put it in reverse the other side starts to click (right back tire). and it kinda annoys me.. WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?! my dad tells me not to worry about it but, well, since it is my first car, it is my baby... Help.. Please

Does it happen when the car is not moving?

Is it random or constant? Is it vehicle speed dependent or engine RPM ?

If it happens only when the car is moving here are some little easy ones to look for.

- Look for a leaky or moving exhaust system.

- A stone in your tires tread.

- Possibly a stone or other object between the wheel cap and wheel.

clicking

I have a clicking noise in my wagon. It ended up being the chrome center cap covering the bearing cap. It is loose and makes a clicking sound.

well, my dad said the same thing about the stone idea, and it is when i am driving, like if i were to press harder on the pedal for fuel, as the car speeds up, the clicking speeeds up.. Now back to the idea that a stone might be stuck in one of the treads or a stone inside my hubcaps, cannot be because, when i had no hubcaps for my car, it still had a clicking thing going on. and ive looked at my treads and there are no stones in my tires..
