cloth lay out,wrinkle
Hello.. I'm getting ready to put my speaker grill fabric on the balsa wood..
Back story.. My old plasma t.v. died after 13 years.. it was a 46" and when we stripped the mahogany fireplace mantle that some dopes painted (7 layers) we made a frame for the t.v. (think picture frame) to match the mantle as the t.v. is over fireplace..
So, t.v. dies, old t.v. had speakers on the side.. new t.v.'s don't so I got a 50" to fit in the frame/case but it's 2.5" to narrow per side, And the cables come out the left side. making the frame narrower not an option.. so I made 2.5"x27.5" balsa wood faux speakers, so it fills in that area and looks like it belongs there..
the speaker grill fabric(black mesh) guessing it's a poly/nylon blend.. was folded, How would one remove the creases before I glue it to the boards. iron it?? hit it with stream? both? warm it up with a hair drier?
don't worry about it, and just pull it taunt when putting it down on the adhesive..
I know it's not car related, but those that do interiors, would know how to relax creases in fabric..
Thanks for any insight..
