Cobra trans selection
Building a b&b cobra kit with 8.8 ford rear end and 351C
Need a transmission with the shifter way forward What is the best option for manual transmission?

TKO-500 or 600 both have several places for the shifter location... Check out the Keisler or D & D Performance sites and see if the shifter locations will work for you...

Another option would be a T5 WC unless you're going to abuse it. Gforce makes a 5spd too, the G5R. You could look into a Ford T10 or Toploader with a deeper 1st gear and run a lower axle ratio as well (for instance a 2.56 1st with a 3.55 rear)
