coil spring spacer
I would like to raise the front of my 55 Chevy about 1 inch. I have thought about installing 1 inch rubber spacers(the kind that go below the spring.) Would I be able to compress the spring enough with a spring compressor or do I have to remove the shock and drop the A arm? Thanks for your help.

Back in the day......when I wanted to raise my 55..I got a set of 62 Chevrolet 327/AC Impala springs....went up about 1 inch....wanted more...got a set for a 409 62 Chevrolet wagon....3 inches or more....
you have to drop the A arm...to get the coil spacers in...
