Coil Springs replacing leafs

I'm building a 46 Chevy Pickup with a 72 Nova front clip, I'm wanting to replace the front coil springs and I'm putting coilovers on the rear (Dana 60 rear end with coilover mounts).. The truck weighs 2600 now and will hit right at 2900 when completed. I'm buying a complete front end rebuild kit for the old 72 Nova half and while these "stock springs" could be come by easily - I'm really building this old girl for sometimes-Street and alot of 1/8 mi drag - so I'm wanting to get the best weight transfer I can. Anyone have a way to determine what weight coils to use - I'm not so concerned about "ride comfort" as with function - as this will get limited street use (400 cu in SBC motor - 400 turbo w/transbrake - 5.39 rear ratio diff)... and Thank You.
