To much air pressure can indirectly cause orange peel or the look of orange peel. When I say the look of orange peel it's because with more pressure you get more over spray, this over spray, because of the increased pressure is curing as it lands on the panel your painting giving you little bumps that you cover with a wet coat of clear...If you've ever felt dried over spray, would you paint over top, no, it's not smooth enough.
