Color combo...thoughts wanted?

My Nova wagon is red with a white top. I was giong to return it to that same color scheme, but I am now kicking around the idea of red with a silver top. My question is this: Will solid (non-metalic) red look funny with silver?

Just a couple questions: Are you leaving the wagon as is, or are you going to customize it? Will you just replace the current white area with silver or paint the window posts silver also?

The reason I am asking is I could see the wagon lowered; tinted windows; shaved chrome, including door handles; bumpers painted to match the red body color; silver roof and red body with a possible graphic on the body (maybe a cool wide pinstripe or accent) that would divide the two colors.

Just my 2 cents, if that helps

if it's going to be kustom, think about a metal flake roof.

The next time you are out driving around, look at the colors of cars out on the road. Then ask yourself...do you want to blend in or do you want to stand out? Basically all cars that you see around my area are either white, red, silver, or a dark shade, as in blue, black, or green. You do not see many stand out colors unless you get the occasional yellow or bright blue that comes driving by. Talking to the rep at the paint shop, and talking to my cousin who paints, the HOK paints and Dupont Hot Hues are not all that much more than your standard BC/CC paints but the colors tend to stand out from the thousands of others on the streets. That is one reason I decided to go with a HOK orange on my truck. When you take an overall look of all cars on the street, you see very few orange. So whatever you decide to paint it....look around first. The paint it as a stand out and not a blend in. Just my $.02 on the subject.
