Column shifter options.

Might have been better to post in Interior but I figured it being a Transmission component you might know some options. I have a th-350 in my 66 GMC that is a column shifter. I am looking for an aftermarket shifter that has a button built in that I could use for nitrous activation. The nitrous runs off a full throttle switch as well, however I dont want it activated in 1st gear and as I prefer to manually shift I just dont have enough arms to shift, activate an alternate button, and steer the vehicle. I realize they make floor shifters with a button in them however I was just curious as to what options are available for a column shift. Thought it might be a bit more unique and I could retain my middle bench seat.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Dylan.

You might be able to adapt an older GM pushbutton switch from a turn signal lever used originally for cruise control activation to the transmission shift lever.

You could also look into using an aftermarket shift lever "ball" with built in switch, although they might be a little bulky on a column shift lever.

I used to see nitros switches that strapped to a column shifter all the time in the 70s.....probably can still get them.
