Get rid of the thumper cam, it`s pretty much just a "sound" cam. There are many better cam choices avalible that`ll give you the same lopey idle and plenty of power. If this is to be a street truck don`t run a mini spool on the street, it`ll just break the rear and it`s not safe on wet surfaces. A used to be friend of mine tried to do so twice both times resulted broken gears and it also broke the carrier in half. If the truck came with a 7.5 rear I can give you the codes from the F body line from 82-87 that had posi traction rears from the factory.
