This is in an industrial area in a town near me. It's one of the best motorhomes ever made with an Old Toro transaxle. GMC motorhome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I helped put a side wall skin on one years ago, about 23 feet of very thin plastic like material, it was brutal! But the rig was awesome!
Anyway, there are a few motorhomes I see around over the years with some "homeless" living in it. I think it's perfect and if I was in that position it seems like about the best way to go. If you had an SSI check or something, wham, you live in some little motorhome and park it all over different places around town or near by towns, makes sense to me! Anyway, this guy had a pretty decent looking motorhome the first time I saw it. It's 35 or so years old so it wasn't perfect but looked like most any other older motorhome with faded paint but no damage and looking pretty decent. All of a sudden I see it and it was painted with a friggin roller! It was a dark tan color painted with a roller, right over all the aluminum window frames and all, it was a mess. Then a week or two later it was painted white! OMG, so, I saw it out there in this area any time I went over there and then one day it was shortened! The damn thing was shortened! I have to assume there was some ordenence or something that he was breaking because it was so long, can't park something over a certain length on a city street. I am thinking that is what happened. So the dude cut it shorter! And it doesn't look like he had a ruler or a straight edge in his tool box.
You can see how there is a big gap right at the body line, we are talking something like 3 or 4 inches. But at the top and bottom it mates with the body. The poor dude cut it crooked and it is a mess. Then there looks to be something wrong with the suspension as it's butt is dragging and the frames rear crossmember is only about six inches off the ground if that!
I feel so sorry for this guy, he has it hard but he is making it harder. Why on earth would you want to paint "flames" on the thing, you would want to blend in for goodness sakes. Poor dude.
