I don't see an Opel grille there at all. But I can't figure out what it is. I KNOW that grille but can't figure it out. It looks seriously like what you would see on a fifties Nash or Hudson or something but it's not, it just looks like what you would think they looked like if that makes any sense. I go googling looking for a car with that grille and come up empty handed.

Early 60's falcon grilles are close, the bars arent exactly the same, but close. The 61 has the vertical bars, but they have an outward bow instead of inward....... the search continues

Part of GM here in England is Vauxhall - check this 1963 Victor FB & note the resemblance - obviously it's not the one we're looking for, but I was thinking those grill assemblies were off a small British car & I may be on the right track.

Is that it!

I think it may just be it! The size looks too small but I think it may just be an illusion with how we see it on the bus. I think you got it!

The size and the chrome suggests it's from an early-60's small car.
I looked at Valiants, Ramblers, early Comets, and Falcons; but the closest thing I have found is a 63 Opel Rekord. It's not a perfect match, but it's close enough that a couple years difference in model year might make the difference

I looked at a Nash and thought the same thing, but when I compared the diameter of the headlight rim with the width of the grill, it came out pretty close.
That could be it :-D

I believe that is what it is. Look at the photo of the bus and how on the right side you can see that the outer edge on the inside as it reaches the top and the bottom of the round section simply flows right up under it all the way to the end. While the outside it tucks down as it reaches the upper and lower round part. That IS the Nash grille laid on it's side with the upper part of the grille facing out. Look at the Nash grille and the upper line rolls back away from the edge, just as the right one on the bus does on the outer side.
