The grill reminds me of the early forties Fords and Mercs.

I think it was across the pond car, not some american car that someone went nuts on. Like a limited coach builder, German or Italian. Gotta be someone who has seen that hood ornament before. I remember one of these cars sits in a museum over in Europe somewhere

OK, jdsaengine, here's the answer to your mystery car. Turns out it's a 90's vintage ride.

I thought that my step-son would nail this one and he didn't let me down. That young man knows his autos.

Click on this link and then scroll down and you will see your car.

Dark Roasted Blend: Extravagant Designs by Luigi Colani

He also sent this link:

Luigi Colani - Seine Werke

click on "Werk", then go to 90er, 1996...

It's bizarre there is one photo of it, that's it, that one photo.

Ok, I found a bunch more.

Mix by OZGUN CULAM at Coroflot.com

Luigi Colani cars - Google Search

Lot's of photos, I give him creative points but not my cup of tea.

Great work sluthing on your step-son's part. This has been bugging me for months. I never would have thought they were 90's cars what with the wire wheels and side pipes like a Cord. I even surfed hood ornament sites trying to find that sexy ornament. I want one for my office!!

He's pretty amazing and, of course, Colani is too

If you're serious about wanting a hood ornament and can't find one, I'll see if stepson can find you a source. Just let me know if you want me to ask him.

I imagine that Luigi hood ornament would be a little out of my price range if it was even available

Sounds like a blast but I know I'm a no-show because of Sherry's condition. She's already spending most of the time in bed on the heating pad and looks like she may need the other knee fixed real soon. I'm afraid that any type of overnighter is a thing of the past for me but I didn't expect it to be so soon.

I remember the car... (impossible to forget)... and it seems I saw it make an exhibition pass at the Indy Nats. Anyone know if it did?
