Cometic head gaskets missing holes???

We went to bolt the AFR 227's to the Little M block today, using the Cometic gaskets that are SUPPOSED to be the right ones. Problem is, the gaskets are missing 2 holes that are in the block deck and the head surface?? The gaskets are .045" part #H1075SP3045S. They state they're for 4.155" bore with no steam holes. The Little M block has no steam holes. Here's a picture of the bottom of the head with the 2 holes in question, circled. They're not in the gaskets.

They're in the block, too.

Are my gaskets supposed to have these holes? They're coolant holes.

Frank

Did you get this figured out? Contact Cometic?
I would think the holes should be in the Gaskets.

There should be to small appox. 1/8 holes in that part of the gasket also on he Little-M blocks we have to open up the center hole on the bottom and the top hole in the center has to be matched to the gasket for proper flow.

The holes that are need in the gasket match the small notches in the deck of your block as we use to have to put our own ntches before Dart started machining the holes.

Here is a pic of the areas we had to match to the gasket.

Yes. Cometic gave me the correct gasket number. The only difference are those 2 holes. I have our old set that has the holes, so I asked if I could use them as a template to drill the holes myself.. He told me that would work, too. I really commend Cometics customer service. They answered my e-mail right away, and even sent me a icture of the correct gasket.
