Compass Mirror Wiring

I bought a Gentex rearview mirror off Ebay. It has a compass and auto dimmer functions. It doesn't have a "plug" that my archive searches talked about. It has seven wires:

Green -
Blue -
White -
White with Black stripe -
Lt Green -
Black with White stripe -
White with Pink stripe -

Anyone know how it is connected?

I found this:

PIN 1 PINK POWER +12 volts
PIN 2 BK CHASSIS, GND
PIN 3 LT GRN BACKUP LIGHTS
PIN 4 GY TO AUTO DIM OUTSIDE MIRROR
PIN 5 PINK TO AUTO DIM OUTSIDE MIRROR
PIN 6 DR GRN/WT TEMP PROBE
PIN 7 BK/WT TEMP PROBE

and this:

C1 (3-wires):
Green=Backup lights (turns off auto-dim)
Black=Ground
Pink/Black=12V Power

C2 (2-wires)
Brown=left side mirror dimming
Pink=right side mirror dimming

but neither match the wires you list... I've heard that the circuit descriptions can also be found right on the circuit board itself.. Not much help, sorry.

I really appreciate the effort anyway. Where were you able to find that info?

There must be a source. I was thinking today maybe I should try local Chevy and Ford dealers.

I found the info on fieroforum.com - search for Gentex wiring. I have an auto-dimming mirror retrofit into my car, but I don't have the compass/temp. version.

Try this site, too. Looks like you can phone for a password, I don't know if it costs:
