complete steering wheel assemble

I just slid under my yearly inspection. I own a 1987 Chevy 5.7 4x4 suburban. I think it would be classified as a r-10. Anyways my up and down play is way out of adjustment. I was told the easiest way to repair a tilt steering assembly is to find other assemble.
1). this is my first question got any addresses for rebuilt steering assembles
2). can you get a fair deal from the local junk yards.
3What is the latest model I can use or is it best to get the exact same year.
4). Need instructions on installing assembly once located
5). what do you figure the cost will run me.Just curious but if you were offered to install this item what would you charge

Apparently by someone who doesn't have a clue. This is a common problem with GM tilt columns and the link posted above walks you through the fix. It costs nothing except an hour or so of your time.
