Good advise for a new system that you aren't familiar with!
I have had fewer problems burning through in recent years. Switching from wool pads to the foam pads... and also using a air tool, that I can run slower, put an end to "burn throughs". I also am more conscious of not getting the paint too hot. As a result, I have been staying out of trouble. :-)
