Already tried some, its 3m heavy duty rubbing compound came in a half quart bottle for $15. Paint guy said its the same stuff as the big purple bottle. Dont know if thats true, but it works good. I use a wool pad followed by 2 foam pads (1 a cutting, and 1 a polish pad) and a dark color glaze on the the last pad...works pretty well for me and I'm doing a black job.

I was using "system one" before, but it takes way longer. Probably alot safer for a beginner, but they don't even sell it anymore...to me it doesnt really have enough grit for the initial buff. I should try to mix the two, I bet that would actually work pretty good.
