Post Comprehensive listing of Vehicles with 454's?

Hello all,

Just wondering if someone has managed to find a site, or has a publication with all the vehicles to date that came equipped with 454's--or maybe even a general listing so I know where to start looking for a donor motor.

thanks-

I don't know about a comprehensive list, but the most common donors will be 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from 74-84. There are herds of them out there. Don't overlook box trucks, step vans and former rentals.

many ambulances & school buses came with 454's as well, and towns are willing to sell them very cheap when they get new ones. I just found a donor 454 in a '78 Suburban. Picked it up complete for $800
did I get ripped?
