Post Compression lower than I thought

OK I'm changin a cam.I picked a Crane cam 284dur 222@.050 .450lift 114lobe sep.Powerband 2200-5200 mildly rough idle.I have a 350 w/ aluminum dual plane intake,600cfm carb,1.94s,2500stall,3.42s w/14" tire. I read the recomendations on cranes web site they say 3.73-4.11 rear.I figure 3.42s w/14" tires fall in good.They say 9.5-10.75comp I'm 9:1or9.1:1.Will .4 low cause a power loss? I think this is still a good cam choice.

It seems to me a shim would move the combustion chamber futher away from the piston and decrease compression. Mabey he ment get a .020 smaller head gasket. That would raise the compression slightly. Let me know what your car runs on the track. I took mine last weekend and got my *** handed to me. My engine is similar but the cam is a dual grind, .450-.460. I kick my self every day for not installing a stall converter......
and i still don't know my gear ratio. Your car should be a kick in the ***. Have fun.
