Post compression sickness

hi all

im building a 350 chevy. it has a 268 comp cam, speed pro forged flattops with valve reliefs, and dart iron eagle heads with 64cc chambers. my concern came about when i went to pick up some head bolts and the guy at the store was like, 'man, u might have too much compression for that camshaft to handle'. now i don't want to swap out my cam, cause that would suck. is the man right or should he be working at burger king?
thanks

The pistons and rods need to be sized for the chamber volume. There is a combination available that would provide about 10.3:1 with a flat top and 64cc heads. Maybe the guy was saying the compression ratio is too high?

that reminds me of a guy a ran into at autozone that bet me his paycheck that a 305 and a 350 didn`t have the same stroke, after i proved it, he wouldn`t pay up, go figure. my father used to have a bad habit of believeing everything the guys behind the counter said, and I told him a majority had no clue on cars they just worked there, I proved it when he and i walked in one day and I asked for a 83 corvette radiator, the guy looked and looked and looked and got frustrated and kept saying "i know we got one! but this computer don`t show it! blasted thing never works right!" and i said "they didn`t make a 83 corvette, it was dropped for that year so they could restyle the body" another good one is "i need a upper radiator hose for a 65 corvair"
