Compression test on engine cradle

I need to do a compression test on my engine cradle stand, i need to wire up my starter, i have one of those remote hand held starters,

"2" on my starters goes to (+) on my battery

where do i hook up the 2 leads (Red/Black) and (Black) from my remote starter to on the starter?
and where do i hook up my (-) from the battery too?

Thanks

Red/black wire from your starter switch to the battery (+) post, black wire from switch to #3 post on starter.

Battery (-) post connect to engine block.

Will the engine try and flip over when doing a compression test on a cradle?

Nope, because the engine isn't connected to anything on the flywheel end. It isn't trying to rotate against anything.

The engine will jump pretty good at the hit of the starter.
