computer probems?

I have an old 87 escort wagon that I occasionally use to haul parts or for long distance runs. I recently pulled it out of storage (too may cars to drive) and after replacing the fuel pump it needed it seems to lean out after warming up. I can drive it fine when the engine is cold but after rabout 5 minutes on the road it instantly leans out and I an't figure out what it is. Since it was a higher rated fuel pump that I swapped in I tried memssing with the fuel pressure, but that hasn't had any effect. Is it something as simple as a bad O2 sensor or do I need a new ECM? I would like to get this thing together as cheap as possible since the whole purpose of this car is to save money rathe than continuously spendinig it- like my other projects.

1.9L CVH and what I mean by lean out is that it looses almost all power, it instantly cuts sout and won't go much past 15 MPH and even then its running real rough.

Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. I'd be willing to guess that it's the regulator going bad. If left long enough, it'll bypass the diaphram and end up in the oil pan. Pressure should be around 43.5 psi when running and warmed up to operating temp.
