Confirming rearend ratio
Reading through posts, I've gathered that you can count the crown teeth and divide by the pinion teeth to get the ratio.
Meaning... 39 crown and 13 pinion, I'll have a gear ratio of...3.0 Is this correct? |

Correct.........
Like....... 41 divided by 10 = 4.10 |

Most ring gears also have the numbers stamped for you. Mine say 41/10. With the cover off I just rotate the ring until I see it stamped on there.
