My post was directed at Bob, but I see now why it would give cause for concern, wondering if I was taking the piss or not. Sorry for the confusion.

I'd been ribbed by some guy on the HAMB about what actually constitutes art - basically, he tore into me for altering photos & calling it art. Bob sent me a message explaining that the same guy was the reason Bob hasn't posted on their forum in a while.

the HAMB... great site for info... but man are the members a snobie bunch .
some guy had an older car my dad helped build in dorchester.. and when my dad replied on how it was done. they ganged up on him and told him he didn't know s_it about how that car was built and was talking out his pie hole..
untill of cource I scanned the 3x4" photos of the build , then the thread was locked.. they are quite a bunch of.. well... you fill in the blanks..

Many thanks for the kind comments everyone ......really much appreciated. I tried to respond on the HAMB this week, but they ended the art show before I could send my message. Maybe I'll get a chance in the future.

In the mean time, I look forward to seeing everyones entry this month.

I gotcha now. Yeah, I know what you're saying about that tight little group on the HAMB. Just this last Friday show there was controversy about someone who was accused of passing off a photoshopped photo as original art, followed by some negative comments. I believe the accusations were unfounded. I've posted many times on the Friday art show, and unless you're part of the clicke, then your work goes generally unnoticed, with hardly a comment. I'm not nearly as talented as most of those contributors, but a pat on the back for doing an admirable job is always appreciated.

OK, now I know who you are. I've seen your work on HAMB before, and have viewed your website, and really admire your talent and technical know-how in your body of work. In spite of any jabs some individuals make take, I'm hoping that both you, Tom, and Bob, will continue to post your works on the HAMB, so that others can view and enjoy it.

Thankyou for your moral support, brickyard. I have no intention of stopping posting, or not 'signing' my stuff. I'll carry on until I hear to the contrary from Ryan, the forum admin.

If anything, the frustrated Mr Swanson (who has already demonstrated his immaturity on numerous occasions) is in for more of the same & I hope to give him some sleepless nights over it into the bargain.
