Using a vernier caliper measure from bore to bore.
Next measure the bores, divide any dimension you get by two.
Therefore, half the small end dimension plus half the big end dimension plus the dimension you measured from bore to bore gives you center to center rod length. There are much more accurate ways to measure this distance but a surface plate and some tooling would be required.
